PABLO VELEZ, JR.

On July 15, 2004, a crowd funneled out of the Perfect Rack Pool Hall in Houston, Texas. Amongst the crowd was Jason Wooley, who had challenged a man named Adrian Payan to a fight.  As Jason exited, Adrian approached him in the parking lot.  Jason pulled out a gun and shot Adrian.  Another shooter from the parking lot also fired an assault rifle at Adrian.  Adrian survived, but 17 year old Emerson Bojorquez was killed in the crossfire.  While all signs pointed at Wooley and two of his friends, the Houston PD focused on Pablo Velez, Jr.  He was tried and convicted and has been in prison since 2006.
